Job description
Monitor, inspect, and document the proper manufacturing of steel structures in steel and steel bridge construction. Focus on non-destructive weld testing and quality control.
Project overview
+ Monitoring, inspection, and documentation of the proper manufacturing of steel structures in steel and steel bridge construction
+ Primarily carrying out non-destructive weld seam testing, including the associated documentation according to applicable standards and regulations
+ Performing quality controls and final inspections
+ Random inspection of externally processed components upon receipt of goods or delivery
+ Creation and maintenance of documentation using predefined Excel templates
Requirements
+ Experience in welding technology, ideally in steel construction, mechanical engineering, or a comparable technical environment
+ Qualification according to DIN EN ISO 9712 (no certification according to the American ASME standard)
+ Certification in non-destructive testing (NDT), especially for visual testing (VT) and magnetic particle testing (MT)
+ Very good German language skills, both written and spoken
+ Experience in steel construction, bridge construction, and ideally in Deutsche Bahn projects
+ Additional qualification in corrosion protection, e.g., KOR certificate, corrosion inspector, coating inspector, or comparable further training, with knowledge of multi-layer corrosion protection systems in steel and railway environments
