Quality / Test Engineer

Project overview

We are looking for an experienced Quality / Test Engineer (m/f/d) for a project in the transport and logistics sector. The position is 90% remote with a location in Mainz and is limited to 24 months.

Your tasks include analyzing business concepts, backlogs, and IT concepts, deriving test designs, and creating test scenarios and test cases. You will perform functional and non-functional tests, including end-to-end tests, procure test data, and document defects. Collaboration with business departments and IT teams is an essential part of the role.

We expect at least 4 years of relevant experience in test preparation and test execution, as well as ISTQB Certified Tester Foundation Level certification. You should have very good knowledge of testing methods in agile and classic software development processes and practical experience in collaborating with business departments and IT.

Experience in large, cross-application IT projects, very good German language skills (written and spoken), and knowledge of the database environment are advantageous. Ideally, you have already worked in similar industries.

Technical competencies: Test design, test execution, test automation, end-to-end tests, JIRA, and agile project management methods.
