Remote / Part-time: UPIL Solution Architect / Lead Architect

Project overview

Hello Freelancer,

For a client in the energy industry, I am currently looking for an experienced UPIL Solution Architect for an S/4 Utilities transformation project.

The search is for a person who will take over the cross-subproject technical and architectural leadership for UPIL and actively help shape the further project structure.

Key Data:

• Start: ASAP
• Duration: Long-term until the end of 2027
• Utilization: 2-3 days per week
• Location: Remote
• Contract Type: Freelance

Responsibilities

• Taking over the architectural lead for UPIL
• Development and further development of the overarching UPIL target picture
• Advising project management and business departments on architecture and solution design
• Definition of procedures, work packages, and project structures
• Coordination between the involved subprojects
• Ensuring end-to-end process understanding across the entire value chain
• Moderation and management of technical working groups
• Identification of risks and derivation of concrete recommendations for action

• Several years of experience as a Solution Architect or Enterprise Architect in the SAP Utilities environment
• Experience with UPIL projects or ideally a successful UPIL implementation
• In-depth understanding of end-to-end processes at energy suppliers
• Experience in complex transformation and implementation projects
• Ability to technically lead teams and bring structure to ongoing projects
