Robot Programmer / Commissioning Engineer

Project overview

We are looking for an experienced robot programmer and commissioning engineer for our Darmstadt location. In this role, you will be responsible for the development, programming, and adaptation of industrial robots, as well as their commissioning both in-house and at customer sites.

Your tasks include troubleshooting and fault analysis on automated systems, assembly and integration of robotics into existing production lines, and electrical installation and wiring of robot components. You will conduct test runs, coordinate acceptances, and optimize processes. Furthermore, you will document your work and collaborate closely with PLC, automation, and design teams.

For this position, you need a completed degree or technical training in electrical engineering, mechatronics, or automation technology. Practical experience in programming common robot systems (KUKA, ABB, FANUC) is required. Knowledge of KRL, RAPID, and/or TIA Portal is advantageous. You should have experience in electrical installation, control cabinet wiring, and troubleshooting automated systems, as well as practical assembly experience in mechanical or plant engineering.

We expect your willingness for worldwide business trips and commissioning. Very good German and English skills are required. The position is to be filled on-site in Darmstadt.
