Seeking an experienced SAP ABAP Developer with a focus on rail vehicle maintenance for a project running from January 2027 to December 2028. The role involves programming, implementation, and analysis within the SAP system landscape, with 100% remote work.

- Analysis of current systems, applications, and architectures, and functional assessment of suitability regarding defined target architecture specifications
- Programming, implementation, and customizing of technical components in applications based on the technologies used, including interfaces, modules, and databases, in compliance with applicable development standards
- Conception and development of user-centric web applications based on cloud technologies and functional interfaces
- Creation of database structures, establishment of interfaces between databases and systems
- Creation of delivery packages, technical designs, system documentation, development, and operating manuals
- Fixing errors from test phases, testing, and debugging software applications
- Transferring design concepts into prototypes and consulting on implementation aspects
- Participation in agile/functional meetings, status updates, and conducting code reviews
Requirements
Should-have Criteria:
- Must-have: Very good knowledge of the SAP system landscape, especially in the area of rail vehicle maintenance at a railway company
- Experience level in years: Intermediate (> 3 years experience)
- Must-have: Very good knowledge in development with SAP ABAP and ABAP OO
- Must-have: Current knowledge in SAP interface technologies & integration, especially regarding the AAR interface
- Number of references: 3
- Must-have: Very good practical experience in SAP modules MM, PM, and possibly other adjacent modules
- Must-have: Practical experience in vehicle target documentation
- S4/HANA experience
- Experience level in years: Junior ( 3 years experience) (Weighting: 20%)
- Mobile SAP development
- Experience level in years: Junior ( 3 years experience) (Weighting: 10%)
- Working as a developer in an agile project environment
- Experience level in years: Intermediate (> 3 years experience) (Weighting: 10%)
