We are looking for an SAP Authorization Consultant who supports our clients in the implementation and further development of their authorizations in SAP S/4HANA.

Activity:

Due to a short-term absence due to illness, we are looking for support from an experienced SAP Authorization Consultant immediately.

The assignment will be carried out in parallel in two projects and is planned with almost full utilization.

We are looking for a consultant with profound experience in the authorization environment of SAP S/4HANA. Practical experience with SAP Fiori and the corresponding authorization concepts is absolutely essential.

Tasks / Activity

Consulting and operational support in the SAP S/4HANA authorization environment

Analysis, conception, and maintenance of authorizations and roles

Support in the implementation and adaptation of existing authorization concepts

Analysis and resolution of authorization problems

Support with role and user authorizations in the SAP Fiori environment

Analysis of authorization errors and support with troubleshooting

Participation in two parallel projects

Coordination with the respective project, business, and IT teams

Support with ongoing project requirements in the authorization environment

• You develop and maintain SAP roles and technical authorization concepts for S/4HANA – for both classic SAP GUI applications and SAP Fiori apps.
• You implement coordinated functional requirements into suitable roles and authorizations.
• You analyze and resolve authorization errors and ensure through targeted tests that intended accesses function and unauthorized accesses are prevented.
• You document roles and authorization changes and support regular authorization reviews.
• You work closely with the business departments and the IT of our clients.
• Depending on experience, you will also contribute to functional authorization concepts and the assessment of segregation of duties conflicts.
• Practical experience in SAP authorization management with a focus on S/4HANA and in role maintenance with PFCG.
• Profound knowledge of authorization objects, organizational values, and single, composite, and derived roles.
• Practical experience with SAP Fiori authorizations, business catalogs, spaces/pages, and the interplay of app, service, and backend authorizations.
• Confidence in authorization analysis.
• The ability to technically implement coordinated requirements according to the principle of least privilege.
• A structured, self-reliant way of working and clear communication with technical and functional contacts.
• Very good German language skills for customer discussions and documentation.
• Understanding of SAP ECC and existing ECC authorization concepts to support clients in the transition to S/4HANA.
• Functional knowledge of segregation of duties (SoD): You recognize critical combinations of activities, such as invoice posting and payment release, and can assess the associated risks with the business department.
• Experience in developing functional authorization concepts: You can analyze business processes, tasks, and responsibilities together with the client and derive a functional role model as well as suitable release and control processes.

Requirements

Mandatory:

Profound practical experience with SAP Authorizations / SAP Authorizations

Very good knowledge in the authorization environment of SAP S/4HANA

Practical experience with SAP Fiori and Fiori authorizations

Experience with role and authorization concepts

Experience in analyzing and resolving authorization problems

Ability to quickly familiarize yourself with existing project and authorization structures

Availability as soon as possible or very short notice

Willingness to have a 50% onsite component in Dortmund and Gummersbach
