SAP Solution Architect - Freelance - Full-time

Project overview

For a long-term transformation project in an industrial environment, I am currently looking for an SAP Solution Architect (m/f/d).

The focus is on responsibility for the overall solution architecture within a complex SAP landscape. We are looking for an experienced architect who ensures end-to-end processes, integrations, and architecture standards across different systems and actively supports the further development of the target architecture.

Framework:

• Start: short notice
• Duration: 6 months (+ extension)
• Utilization: Full-time (ideally 5 days per week)
• Location: Papenburg / predominantly remote (approx. 2-3 days per week every two weeks)
• Project language: German

Responsibilities

• Responsibility for the overall solution architecture based on a central SAP template
• Ensuring a consistent end-to-end solution across process, data, and system boundaries
• Definition and documentation of functional and technical solution architectures
• Design and evaluation of integrations between SAP and connected system landscapes (e.g., PLM, MES, Data Platforms)
• Moderation and leadership of architecture and integration committees
• Evaluation of change requests, template deviations, and extensions
• Documentation of architectural decisions, risks, and approvals

• Several years of experience as an SAP Solution Architect in complex SAP environments
• Experience in the industrial or production environment (Modules: PRM, PP, PS, MM, SD, MES)
• Very good knowledge of SAP architectures, integrations, and end-to-end processes
• Experience with Enterprise Architecture tools, ideally LeanIX
• Knowledge of Clean Core, Fit-to-Standard approaches, and SAP template-based transformations
• Ideally, experience in SAP S/4HANA transformation or implementation projects
