SAP Solution Manager / SAP Cloud ALM Consultant

Project overview

Initial Situation

For a large energy provider, we are looking for support around SAP Solution Manager. The SolMan is used there for parts of the ALM process of several SAP systems (including SAP ERP Core, SAP HCM), with a focus on ChaRM and Test Management. The system runs on DEV, TEST, and PROD and is bidirectionally connected to Jira and Azure DevOps. From 2027, operations will be re-awarded and the switch to SAP Cloud ALM will be implemented, including the decommissioning of SolMan in 2028. Knowledge transfer from the previous service provider will take place in a transition period of approximately three months.

We are looking for a person at an enterprise architecture level who can cover operations, further development, and transition from a single source.

• Check and import security notes
• Maintenance, downgrade protection, and cross-reference checks
• Maintenance of the Jira / Azure DevOps interface
• ChaRM error analysis (status, transports of copies, jobs)
• Processing of incidents and change requests
• Role and rights management
• SP upgrades including tests and corrections
• Consulting on new projects and technologies
• Further development of interfaces
• Implementation of new requirements in change and release management
• Assessment of the current status
• Roadmap and process design
• Design and implementation of interfaces (Jira, Azure DevOps, BaseIT)
• Training, authorization, and operations concept
• Decommissioning of SolMan

• SAP Solution Manager 7.2 ChaRM (Customizing, error analysis, transports, test management)
• SAP Cloud ALM (Change & Deployment, Test Management)
• Proven project experience with SolMan ChaRM and specifically with a migration to SAP Cloud ALM
• Experience with interfaces Jira / Azure DevOps / BaseIT to SolMan or Cloud ALM
• SolMan maintenance: Security notes, SP upgrades
• Authorization and training concepts
• Consulting competence at an architectural level
• Communication and training skills
• Fluent German, good English
• Willingness for on-site deployment
• Experience in a corporate group environment

Project details

Term: 24 months + 2 x 12 months option

Total PT: 235 PT (+ option for extension)

Utilization: approx. 2–3 PT/week
