SAP Subscription Billing Consultant – SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Project overview

For an SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition project, we are looking for an experienced consultant for the design, setup, and implementation of SAP Subscription Billing. The goal is to establish end-to-end processes for managing and billing subscription-based and usage-based business models – from setting up the subscription, through price determination, to handover to invoicing and financial accounting.

Responsibilities

Analysis of business requirements and conducting workshops with business departments.

Design of target processes and solution architecture for Subscription Management, Rating, Billing, and Invoicing.

Setup and configuration of SAP Subscription Billing, including products, tariff models, pricing rules, and billing cycles.

Implementation of recurring, one-time, and usage-based charges, as well as pro-rata billing.

Mapping the subscription lifecycle, e.g., contract start, changes, renewals, and cancellations.

Design and support of the integration with SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition and relevant upstream and downstream systems.

Coordination of follow-up processes for invoicing, accounts receivable, incoming payments, and dunning with the Finance team.

Creation and execution of end-to-end tests, as well as support during error analysis, go-live, and hypercare.

Documentation of configuration and handover to business departments and operations.

Required Knowledge

Demonstrable practical experience in the implementation and configuration of SAP Subscription Billing.

Project experience with SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition, ideally in conjunction with Subscription Billing.

In-depth knowledge of subscription-based and usage-based billing, pricing, and rating.

Experience with the integration of subscription, master, and billing data via APIs and cloud interfaces.

Understanding of end-to-end order-to-cash processes and their connection to financial accounting.

Experience with Fit-to-Standard workshops, business design, and independent implementation.

Additional Knowledge depending on project scope

SAP Convergent Invoicing and FI-CA, including mass activities, clearing, and dunning.

SAP BTP and SAP Integration Suite.

SAP Solution Order Management in the Public Edition.

SAP BRIM, Convergent Charging, and Subscription Order Management as supplementary experience.

Integration of payment service providers and credit card payment processing.

Profile Sought

We are looking for a results-oriented consultant who can independently set up SAP Subscription Billing and provide functional support for its integration into the public cloud landscape. Concrete experience with SAP Subscription Billing is crucial; general SAP BRIM experience complements this profile.
