Job description
Experienced SAP Test Manager (m/f/d) needed for an ongoing SAP S/4HANA implementation project in the public sector. The role involves leading test management activities and guiding junior team members.
Project overview
For an ongoing SAP S/4HANA implementation project in the public sector, we are looking for an experienced SAP Test Manager (m/f/d).
The project is currently transitioning from the conception to the implementation phase. Existing concepts are to be further refined and translated into operational implementation. In addition to professional responsibility, guiding and supporting junior team members is an important part of the role.
Framework Conditions
- Start: 01.11.2026
- Utilization: 60–100 %
- Duration: 6 months initial contract
- Location: Berlin / Remote
Responsibilities
- Responsibility for test management within the scope of an SAP S/4HANA implementation
- Further development and refinement of existing test concepts
- Planning, coordination, and control of test activities
- Coordination of test phases and test cycles with business departments, IT, and project teams
- Coordination of integration tests, functional tests, and UAT
- Control and tracking of defects and open issues
- Ensuring test quality, transparency, and documentation
- Creation of status reports and management reporting
- Support in preparation for Go-Live and acceptance
- Professional guidance and support of junior project staff
- Active knowledge transfer within the project team

- Several years of experience as a Test Manager in complex SAP projects
- Sound experience with SAP ECC and SAP S/4HANA
- Experience in SAP implementation or transformation projects
- Very good knowledge of test planning, test control, and defect management
- Experience with different test levels, e.g., integration testing, UAT, and regression testing
- Ability to independently manage a test stream
- Experience as a Team Lead or in the professional leadership of project teams
- Strong communication and moderation skills
- Structured and independent way of working
- Very good German language skills
