Scrum Master – Public Sector / Digital Portal PART-TIME

Project overview

For a central digitalization project in the public sector (digital service portal for internal services in HR, infrastructure, and IT), we are looking for an experienced Scrum Master (m/f/d) to support our project team starting November 2026.

Responsibilities

Establishing agile working methods: Conveying basics and promoting agile methods within the team.

Coaching: Coaching the team on self-organization, cross-functional collaboration, and supporting Product Owners and managers.

Scrum Processes: Ensuring adherence to Scrum rules, managing external influencing factors, and targeted removal of obstacles (impediments).

Moderation: Preparation and facilitation of Scrum meetings (Plannings, Dailies, Reviews, Sprint Retrospectives).

Reporting & Control: Preparation and presentation of team results, and collaboration with project management, (Chief) Product Owners, and other Scrum Masters.

Scaling & Tools: If necessary, taking on the Scrum Master role at the project level and supporting the setup of a Confluence area and backlog management.

Requirements

Demonstrable training/certification as an Agile Coach

Recognized Scrum Master certificate (e.g., PSM I/II, CSM, or comparable)

SÜ2 clearance mandatory (security check)

Minimum of 5 years of continuous residence in Germany and no active connection or stay in countries on the state list

Very good German language skills, both written and spoken

Nice to have

Experience in process transformation and business process analysis

Basic technical understanding in software implementation

Good practical experience with Jira and Confluence
