Senior Accounting & Finance Process Consultant

Project overview

We are looking for an experienced Senior Accounting & Finance Process Consultant for a 6-month project with the option of extension. The position is available immediately and offers flexible working structures with 4 days per week utilization in a hybrid model.

Responsibilities

You will analyze and design target processes for HGB-compliant monthly closing procedures on a project basis. Your expertise is in demand for optimizing general ledger, accounts receivable, and accounts payable processes, as well as developing a fast-close target picture with action plans. You will design target processes for order-to-cash and procure-to-pay workflows, conceptualize automation approaches, and define control metrics. Further tasks include conceptualizing intercompany reconciliation logic, charging models, and target closing calendars.

You will support system and process harmonization of multiple companies and define interfaces to external partners.

Requirements

You bring many years of professional experience in an accounting or finance environment. Sound knowledge of HGB monthly closings, process improvements, and closing accelerations is essential. You have a deep understanding of accounting software and data structures, practical experience with intercompany matters and group structures, as well as confident Excel skills. Knowledge of DATEV or comparable systems is required.

Advantageous are experiences with database-supported systems such as SAP or Oracle, BI or CPM solutions, as well as background in growing corporate groups or M&A contexts.
