• Participate in clarifying business, technical, and architectural requirements
• Actively shape the software architecture and document architectural decisions
• Develop new functionalities in the frontend and backend, and extend existing functionalities, including tests and test automation
• Deploy and release product increments in development to production environments
• Operate and monitor applications in the production environment
• Actively collaborate with other teams
• Completed education in computer science, for example at a university of applied sciences, university, or in vocational training
• Practical experience in backend development with Java and Spring Boot, as well as in frontend development with Angular
• Practical experience with software architecture and actively shaping software architectures in collaboration with product and system architects
• Practical experience with PostgreSQL and MS SQL
• Practical experience with integration technologies such as JSON/REST, Kafka, and Swagger/OpenAPI
• Practical experience with test frameworks such as JUnit and Mockito
• Practical experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery, as well as OpenShift/Kubernetes, ArgoCD, and Tekton
• Experience with development environments and tools such as IntelliJ, Maven, and Git
• Experience with operating cloud-based applications and familiarity with operational tools such as Instana, Grafana, and Splunk
• Experience with agile working methods such as Scrum or SAFe, as well as with Atlassian tools such as Bitbucket, Jira, and Confluence
• Fluent German language skills, both written and spoken
• Strong quality awareness, high willingness to learn about unknown components, and the readiness to share own know-how and experience
• Independent and goal-oriented way of working in an agile environment, on-site and remote
• Willingness to participate in a BizDevOps environment
• Strong team skills and a helpful, flexible, open, and communicative working style
• Knowledge in the area of GIS, especially with esri ArcGIS
• Initial experience or willingness to learn in dealing with AI-supported development, for example with GitHub Copilot or similar tools
• Engagement period: 01.10.2026 – 31.12.2027 with option for extension
• Workload: 80–100 %
• Location: Bern-Wankdorf with remote component; at least 2 days per week on-site, team day on Wednesday.
