Senior Avaloq / Java DevOps Engineer

Responsibilities

For our client in the banking industry, we are looking for an experienced Senior Avaloq / Java DevOps Engineer in the area of Investments & Pensions.

You will support the further development of the Avaloq Core Banking Platform and participate in strategic projects. The focus is on refactoring existing functions and interfaces in the area of investment proposals as well as the connection to a new, Kafka-based event streaming platform. The team works according to the DevOps approach with SAFe and Scrum.

• Parameterization of portfolio management functions and extension of master data within the Avaloq Banking Platform
• Conception and development of event streaming interfaces to other software systems
• Support and further development of Java-based software components
• Participation in the refactoring of functions, interfaces, and service calls
• Support of ongoing operations as well as analysis and resolution of disruptions

Requirements

• At least five years of experience in Avaloq parameterization
• Several years of experience in Java development
• Experience with agile development methods
• Willingness to take on operational tasks in the sense of the DevOps approach
• Interest in topics related to investments and pensions
• Quick comprehension, strong analytical thinking, and an open and communicative personality
• Very good German skills at C2 level and English skills at C1 level
• Workload: 100%
