Senior BI & Analytics Consultant

Project overview

For a long-term project at a large company with a complex data and reporting landscape, we are looking for an experienced Senior BI & Analytics Consultant.

You will be part of an interdisciplinary team and support the further development and operation of a modern analytics and business intelligence platform based on Microsoft technologies.

Responsibilities

• Integration, transformation, and preparation of data from various source systems
• Development and enhancement of data pipelines and data models
• Development and optimization of dashboards and reports with Microsoft Power BI
• Participation in the further development of cloud-based data and analytics solutions based on Microsoft technologies
• Implementation of requirements in the areas of Data Warehouse, Lakehouse, and Reporting
• Consulting on data architectures, reporting standards, and governance topics
• Execution of tests and quality assurance measures
• Analysis and resolution of errors, as well as support in ongoing operations
• Close collaboration with business departments, stakeholders, and other project participants

• At least 5 years of professional experience in IT consulting and/or software development with a focus on Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, or Data Engineering
• Experience with Microsoft Power BI
• Experience in the areas of data integration, data modeling, and reporting
• Knowledge in the Microsoft Azure environment and/or Microsoft Fabric
• Team-oriented way of working and experience in collaborating with various stakeholders
• Microsoft Certified: Fabric Analytics Engineer Associate
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate
• Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert
• Microsoft Certified: DevOps Engineer Expert
• Scrum Master (Scrum.org or Scrum Alliance)
• PMI PMP, PRINCE2 Practitioner, or comparable certification
• Start: March 2027
• Duration: 24 months with an option to extend
• Utilization: Full-time
• Location: Hamburg
• Work Model: predominantly remote
• Regular on-site appointments in Hamburg (on average every 6 weeks for 1 to 2 days)
