Project:

For our client in the insurance environment, we are looking for an experienced Senior Business Analyst to support the business analysis, quality assurance, and further development of data products and reports. You will analyze data using SQL, define business requirements, and support ensuring data quality as well as maintaining metadata. (Reference number: 925329JA)

Responsibilities

? Collection, analysis, and definition of business requirements for data products and reports

? Creation and maintenance of business documentation, Q&A documents, and business aids

? Analysis of data using SQL as well as identification of data relationships and anomalies

? Definition and further development of quality rules and quality metrics in collaboration with the Product Owner

? Maintenance of business metadata as well as conducting business clarifications on data products, data replications, and data contracts

? Business review of data models and contribution of business requirements along the data value chain

? Conducting analyses and requirements engineering as well as interface function between business departments, system architecture, and development teams; if necessary, taking over Product Owner tasks in the SAFe environment

Requirements

? At least 7 years of relevant professional experience as a Business Analyst, Data Steward, or in a comparable role

? Good understanding of insurance business domains, especially contract management and sales, as well as related processes, data flows, and data foundations

? Experience in the collection, analysis, and documentation of business requirements as well as in requirements engineering

? Knowledge of data quality, data contracts, and metadata management

? Experience with Power BI as well as knowledge of SQL, Databricks, Oracle Database, and Azure SQL

? Strong analytical skills, a structured way of working, as well as a high awareness of quality and sense of responsibility for data

? Good communication and coordination skills as well as experience in collaborating with business departments, IT, development, and enabling teams

? Very good written and spoken German and English for working with English-language documentation and collaborating with offshore teams
