Senior Cloud Engineer

Project overview

Support the Cloud Center of Excellence in managing and professionalizing the Azure cloud platform during the migration to a new, standardized setup.

Profile of the suited interim professional:

• Resolve complex incidents and implement changes within the management organization
• Guide the migration to the new Azure environment
• Further develop the platform with infrastructure-as-code and automated deployment pipelines
• Implement and ensure standards in the areas of security, governance, and compliance
• Contribute to a stable, secure, and demonstrably manageable cloud platform in accordance with internal and external requirements
• Completed Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or comparable field
• Minimum 5 years of experience with Microsoft Azure Cloud, including Azure Resource Manager via Bicep and Azure DevOps with YAML pipelines
• Experience with Azure Databricks, with knowledge of Unity Catalog being a plus
• Extensive experience with DevOps and Agile/Scrum methodologies
• Experience with PowerShell and Bash scripting for automation and management
• Knowledge of network configuration in Azure, security configurations, and PIM
• Knowledge of ICT security principles and ITIL management processes
• Minimum 3 years of experience with IT infrastructures and cloud environments within larger organizations
• Experience in independently coordinating with product owners, scrum teams, administrators, and external suppliers
• Customer-oriented and proactive attitude with strong communication skills
• Strong command of the Dutch language
