Senior Communications Advisor Project Bovensmilde

Project overview

As a senior communications advisor, you will support the implementation of the cabinet's response to the Bovensmilde Recognition and Support Project.

Profile of the suited interim professional:

• Advising the project leader and project team on communication regarding the implementation of the cabinet's response
• Developing and maintaining the communication approach for the project
• Preparing communication for affected individuals and their loved ones
• Advising on governmental communication, spokesperson duties, and media contacts
• Drafting press releases and talking points
• Preparing communication for decisions, meetings, and other project milestones
• Coordinating with communication advisors from JenV, the municipality of Midden-Drenthe, and other partners
• Identifying developments in the environment and advising on their impact on communication
• Monitoring the coherence between different communication activities
• Developing options for digital and/or physical recording and archiving of information
• Investigating alignment with existing organizations or initiatives
• Coordinating with parties in Bovensmilde and the region
• Drafting proposals for long-term management and maintenance
• Supporting initiatives related to commemoration and remembrance
• HBO work and thinking level
• At least 5 years of experience as a (senior) communications advisor within a political-administrative context in central government
• Experience with sensitive dossiers where affected individuals or directly involved parties play an important role
• Experience with communication about recognition, commemoration, or other sensitive societal themes
• Experience in advising project leaders, management, and administrators of both internal and external partners
• Experience with both strategic communication advice and independent execution of communication activities
• Preferably experience with developing recognition measures together with multiple organizations
• Preferably experience with communication about sensitive topics related to Moluccan history
• Preferably experience with projects around making historical information and personal stories accessible
• Preferably at least 1 year of experience with advisory work in a collaborative project between central government and the municipality
