Job description
Seeking a Senior Data Architect to design and build AI agents for a Data Platform, focusing on automating platform components and modernizing the existing technical foundation on GCP. The role involves tooling developers and migrating/securing the platform.
Project overview
Context & Challenges of the mission
Within the Data Platform, the Core Team provides product teams with standardized applications and common foundations (development standards, Java/Scala/Python frameworks, CI/CD, base images, and GCP infrastructure). The major ambition is to transform this foundation into an AI agent factory. The roadmap consists of equipping developers with agents (MCP, skills, pipeline mapping), then increasing these agents' autonomy domain by domain (DBT, Kafka Streams, APIs, Dataproc) from design to production with rollback.
In parallel, the team continues the modernization of the foundation (migrations, security, and observability).
Missions & Scope
Profile sought
- Design and build AI agents to automate and drive platform components.
- Tool developers (Developer Experience) through internal solutions (MCP, skills, mapping).
- Modernize the existing technical foundation: migrations, strengthening security, and observability.
Requirements
- Solid background in software or platform engineering on GCP (CI/CD, testing, observability).
- Practice with batch processing (dbt / BigQuery) or streaming (Kafka).
- Experience designing and delivering at least one AI agent in production, used by third parties.
Nice to have
Work Environment
- Have written MCP servers or worked with agent frameworks (ADK, Claude Agent SDK, etc.).
- Experience in a platform team or "Developer Experience" (internal tooling).
- Implementation of evaluations (evals) on agents or LLM systems.
- Education & References :
- Master's degree (engineering school or university) in computer science or equivalent.
- More than 7 years of experience in Data Architecture.
- Experience in the retail / mass distribution sector
