Senior Data Engineer – Snowflake, dbt & Data Warehouse (2 Positions)

Project overview

We are looking for two experienced Senior Data Engineers to further develop and migrate our central data warehouse infrastructure.

Responsibilities

You will design, develop, and maintain scalable, efficient, and reliable data models and pipelines in an agile team. You will work closely with data analysts and business stakeholders to understand requirements and implement them in scalable data solutions. A focus will be on redesigning and rebuilding central data models based on new operational systems. You will develop specific data products for various business areas and support the migration from Snowflake to Databricks. Furthermore, you will optimize existing data pipelines regarding performance, cost efficiency, and maintainability.

Requirements

You bring extensive experience in data warehousing and various data architecture and modeling approaches. Excellent SQL skills are required. Experience with Data Vault 2.0 is an advantage. Knowledge of Snowflake and dbt is strongly preferred, Databricks experience is very advantageous. You are familiar with modern development tools like Claude Code and Github Copilot. Experience with Airflow and Python is a plus.

Soft Skills:

Fluent English (C1) in technical and non-technical contexts is required. German language skills (B2 or higher) are strongly preferred. You communicate clearly, enjoy working in a team, and show initiative.
