Senior IT Consultant – SAP BW / SAC & BPC Development

For the transformation project to modernize material requirements planning (MBP) at a leading IT service provider in the mobility and rail sector, we are looking for a highly qualified Senior IT Consultant / Developer starting 01.01.2027 to replace an Access cockpit with a managed SAP architecture (SAP BW/4HANA, SAC, and SAP BPC with S/4HANA integration).

It is imperative that all required minimum durations, technologies, and industry contexts (especially maintenance / transport & logistics) are explicitly and completely documented in the individual project descriptions of the CV. Profiles from which the required knowledge and experience cannot be clearly identified will be directly excluded from the award procedure by the client.

Project Context & Tasks

The goal is to replace the existing MBP cockpit with a scalable SAP platform (SAP BW/4HANA, SAC, SAP BPC) and to functionally extend it with automated bill of materials calculation and transfer to S/4HANA.

Requirement Profile

Must-Have Criteria (Mandatory Minimum Requirements – must be proven in the CV):

• Project Start: 01.01.2027
• Duration: 24 months (until 31.12.2028)
• Volume: approx. 440 person-days (full-time / 1 FTE)
• Location: Remote (with approx. 20 project days on-site in Frankfurt am Main over the total duration)
• Daily Rate: €600 – €700 all-in (net per PT)
• Application Deadline: As soon as possible (internal deadline: 03.11.2026)
• Requirements Analysis & Conception: Gathering business requirements, developing the data model, designing the technical architecture and authorization concepts.
• Technical Implementation & Data Integration: Configuration of SAC, development and modeling of BW and planning architectures, consistency checks, and harmonization of data streams from various source systems (including ISI BW, SAP R/3K, SAP BWK, Flatfiles).
• Reporting & Dashboards: Building intuitive, interactive dashboards and planning/reporting applications for consistent material requirements planning.
• Enablement & Operation: Creation of technical system documentation, user manuals, and training materials, as well as continuous support of the solution.
• Industry Focus: Sound experience in the maintenance environment (Transport & Logistics / Rail industry).
• SAP BPC: Minimum 5 years of practical experience with SAP BPC in the maintenance sector.
• SAP BW Architecture: Minimum 5 years of architecture and consulting experience in the SAP BW environment (maintenance sector).
• SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC): Minimum 5 years of experience with SAC in the maintenance environment.
• SAC Authorization Concepts: Minimum 5 years of experience in developing authorization concepts in SAP SAC (maintenance).
• Planning & Reporting Applications: Minimum 5 years of experience in building corresponding applications in the maintenance sector.
• Language Skills: German at near-native level (C2 mandatory).

• Management Presentation (30% B-Rating): At least 3 verifiable references for preparing and presenting highly complex issues at the top management level.
• Agile Method Competence (10% B-Rating): At least 3 verifiable project references in the CV with agile frameworks (e.g., SCRUM, SAFe).
