Senior IT Infrastructure Architect

Project overview

For our client, we are looking for a Senior IT Infrastructure Architect for a comprehensive modernization project.

Responsibilities

• Technical support and consulting for data center modernization and migration
• Analysis and evaluation of the existing on-premise infrastructure and target architecture
• Consulting on architectural decisions in the areas of compute, storage, virtualization, firewall, and network
• Evaluation of existing architectures and development of optimization proposals
• Identification of technical risks, dependencies, and critical issues
• Technical interface communication and consulting between architecture, business departments, and service providers
• Support for the migration of the German data center as well as international locations

Requirements

• Many years of experience as an IT Infrastructure / Data Center Architect
• Sound knowledge in enterprise data centers and on-premise infrastructures
• Experience with large-scale infrastructure or data center migrations
• Sound knowledge in compute, storage, virtualization, firewalls, and network segmentation
• Experience in the technical management of system houses / service providers
• Ability to critically evaluate architectural concepts and identify technical risks early on
• Very good communication skills at a technical and business level
• Fluent German language skills
