Our client is looking for an experienced Senior IT Infrastructure / Network & Security Engineer to temporarily strengthen the IT infrastructure team for an estimated six months.
The goal of the assignment is to ensure operational continuity after the departure of an internal IT System Engineer and to support ongoing and upcoming infrastructure projects.
We are looking for an experienced, practice-oriented Infrastructure Engineer who can quickly familiarize themselves with existing enterprise infrastructures, take on operational responsibility, and independently work on technical project packages.
Modus: On-site – Full-time (100 %)
Region: Greater Stuttgart area, Germany
Responsibilities
Professional background
- Administration and support of enterprise networks (LAN, WLAN, VLAN).
- Administration of firewalls and network segmentation.
- Ideally working with Check Point, Cisco, and Extreme Networks / ExtremeCloud.
- Support of Microsoft Active Directory and Group Policies (GPO).
- PKI, certificate management, and ideally AD CS.
- Support of RADIUS, Microsoft NPS, and 802.1X.
- Infrastructure Security and hardening.
- 2nd and 3rd level support and complex troubleshooting.
- Technical participation in infrastructure and security projects.
- Documentation and knowledge transfer.
- Senior Infrastructure Engineer with extensive practical experience.
- Priority 1 – mandatory: Networking, Firewall, and Troubleshooting.
- Priority 2 – preferably present: PKI/Certificates, RADIUS/NPS/802.1X, and Active Directory.
- Priority 3 – additional benefit: Security, Entra ID/M365, PowerShell, VMware, and Veeam.
- Further desirable knowledge: PRTG, XM Cyber, Trend Micro/Microsoft Defender, Windows Server, and Azure.
- Ability to quickly familiarize yourself with existing enterprise infrastructures and take on operational responsibility.
- Independent processing of technical project packages.
- Experience with internationally distributed or hybrid on-premise/cloud infrastructures is an advantage.
- German language skills required.
