Senior IT Outsourcing / Provider Manager

For my client in the banking sector, I am currently looking for an experienced Senior IT Outsourcing / Provider Manager (m/f/d) with a focus on Avaloq & IT Operations.

We are not looking for a pure outsourcing controller, but for a personality who acts as a functional interface between internal IT and external service providers, actively supporting both strategic and operational topics. In addition to provider management, the focus is on collaboration in IT projects, support for ongoing operations, and participation in the further development of the IT landscape.

• Remote share: possible after onboarding and by arrangement
• Type of employment: Freelance (GmbH advantageous)

Responsibilities

• Functional contact person for ongoing application operations in the outsourcing environment
• Support for operational day-to-day business, including ticket management, topic follow-up, and SLA monitoring
• Support for Incident, Problem, and Change Management processes
• Evaluation and coordination of change requests and release changes on the Avaloq platform
• Management and monitoring of the performance of external service providers based on defined SLAs and KPIs
• Conducting service meetings, provider reviews, and performance analyses
• Review and follow-up of service provider reports, audit reports (e.g., ISAE 3402), and ticket systems
• Identification, assessment, and documentation of IT and outsourcing risks
• Participation in ongoing transformation and infrastructure projects, including in the Avaloq environment (e.g., CAPI and Dataflow/Kafka)
• Support for the modernization of the application landscape

Requirements

You will work in a small, dedicated IT team with a lot of scope for design. In addition to two ongoing major projects, the entire application landscape is currently being modernized. We are therefore looking for someone who not only manages and coordinates but also provides operational support and takes responsibility.

• Several years of experience in IT outsourcing management, provider management, or IT service management
• Project experience in the banking or financial services sector
• Sound experience with Avaloq, ideally in the context of Avaloq Sourcing
• Experience in operating business-critical applications and services
• Knowledge of Incident, Problem, Change, and Release Management
• Experience in managing external service providers and in SLA and KPI monitoring
• Understanding of IT risk management and governance topics
• Knowledge of modern integration and data platforms (e.g., APIs or Kafka) advantageous
