Important Note on Profile Submission:

A Senior IT Project Manager is sought. It is imperative that the profile clearly demonstrates, in addition to sound end-to-end project management competence, concrete experience with BOT architectures (manufacturing, measurement, testing, and engineering facilities / OT environment) and complex application migrations. Profiles from which these focal points are not clearly evident unfortunately cannot be considered in the selection process.

Project Context & Objectives

As part of a group-wide IT transformation program, business applications are being migrated from isolated national networks (NAT) into a standardized, divisional network environment (DIV) and a private cloud.

As Senior IT Project Manager, you will manage the migration of approx. 70 complex engineering tools and approx. 19 production-related BOT systems (manufacturing, measurement, and testing facilities). You will be responsible for the overall program from discovery and architecture framing to go-live/cutover, strictly adhering to security requirements for classified data and network segmentation.

Requirements Profile

Must-Have Criteria (Must be evident in the profile)

• Phase 1 (Spain / WP5): Until September 2027
• Phase 2 (Germany / WP6): Until 2028
• End-to-End Project Management & Migration Control: Overall responsibility for the planning, control, and execution of migration waves according to the 4-step model (Assess ? Classify ? Decide ? Execute) from discovery to hypercare completion.
• Control of BOT & Target Architectures: Coordination and alignment of migration paths for production BOTs and CAE/engineering applications together with Technical Authorities and Tool Owners:
• Track A: Private Cloud HPC (RHEL, Scheduler, VDI)
• Track B: Private Cloud General Purpose (Shared VM/VDI Pools)
• Track C / OT Network: Local systems or isolated remaining in the production network
• Architecture Deep-Dives & Governance: Technical framing for Application Owners, support of license consolidation (e.g., floating licenses via FlexLM), and control of security measures (OT firewalls, CMDB registration, segmentation).
• Project Organization & Controlling: Creation and monitoring of integrated schedules, critical path management, budget controlling, scope and change management, as well as proactive risk management including contingency plans.
• Stakeholder Management & Reporting: Preparation and execution of milestone reviews, steering committees, and decision papers for management and the Transformation Management Office (TMO).
• Project Management: Many years of demonstrable experience as an IT Project Manager in large, complex, and international transformation or migration programs (incl. schedule, resource, and budget control).
• BOT Architecture & OT Environment: Sound technical understanding of BOT architectures (control, integration, and connection of manufacturing, testing, or measurement facilities or OT systems).
• Migration Experience: Demonstrable practical experience in end-to-end migration of applications and infrastructures (discovery, build, testing, cutover).
• Technical Understanding: Familiarity with private cloud, VDI, and HPC environments (Linux/RHEL), network segmentation, and central licensing concepts (e.g., FlexLM).
• Education: Completed Master's degree (Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, Engineering, Business Administration, or comparable qualification).
• Languages & Mobility: Fluent English (written and spoken); willingness for regular on-site assignments at the project locations in Spain (Madrid) and Southern Germany.
