Senior Java Developer & Junior Developer

For our client in the Public/Telematics environment (Toll Collect), you will support a mixed development team in modernizing and maintaining business-critical systems. The focus is on robust Java backend development, system-level kernel topics, and expanding automated CI/CD pipelines, as well as knowledge transfer to junior colleagues.

Responsibilities

Must-Haves

• Backend Development: Conception, further development, and refactoring of scalable Java backend services.
• CI/CD Automation: Setup, securing, monitoring, and maintenance of stable build and deployment pipelines.
• Team Enabling & Mentoring: Close collaboration within the mixed team of senior and junior developers, and targeted knowledge building within the team.
• CI/CD (GitLab)
• Openshift/Kubernetes
• Java (Quarkus/SpringBoot)
• Apache Camel
• AMQ/Kafka
• Very good communication skills and strong team player mentality
• Desired profile setup: 1 Senior Consultant (extensive experience) and/or 1 Junior Consultant (little experience)
• Language skills: Very good German and English spoken and written.

• Basic understanding or initial practical experience in using AI/AI tools in the development process.
• Experience in regulated environments (authorities, public sector, or BFSI).

Utilization: Full-time (2.0 FTE)

Compensation: €650 daily rate Senior, €550 Junior
