Context and challenges

As part of strengthening its Socles Data / DataHub team, a major player in the insurance sector is looking for an experienced Talend Expert to contribute to the security, operational maintenance, evolution, and modernization of its Data platform.

The mission revolves around two complementary axes:

The main challenge is to guarantee the robustness of Talend developments, their compatibility with the Cloudera CDP / Spark 3 ecosystem, and the consistency of development practices.

• Priority axis: ensure technical expertise in Talend, support development teams, and make Data processing reliable in a Big Data environment.
• Complementary axis: contribute to the development, maintenance, and technical evolution of the Generic Foundation, particularly in Java / Spring Boot.
• Talend Expertise – Core mission
• Act as the technical referent for Talend 8.
• Provide advanced expertise to user teams and support their Talend developments.
• Analyze, diagnose, and resolve anomalies encountered in ETL processes.
• Support Tech Leads in their technical choices.
• Disseminate best practices, development standards, and industrialization recommendations.
• Master the specifics of Talend Big Data and Spark processing.
• Participate in compatibility work between Talend, Cloudera CDP, and Spark 3.
• Identify and resolve technical issues related to Data processing execution.
• Contribute to the reliability and modernization of processing within the Cloudera ecosystem.
• Maintain and evolve the CORE and HOWTO reference projects.
• Intervene on context variables, joblets, metadata, and development patterns.
• Analyze and manipulate the internal structure of Talend projects, particularly .item and .properties files.
• Understand Talend components, their attributes, and their configuration mechanisms.
• Participate in the maintenance and evolution of custom Talend components.
• Create, document, and follow up on Talend Cases with editor support when necessary.
• Contribution to the Generic Foundation
• Participate in Java / Spring Boot developments.
• Analyze and correct application and technical anomalies.
• Contribute to the evolution and maintenance of the foundation.
• Participate in improving industrialization practices and build chains.
