Project overview

Description

For our client in the rail infrastructure sector, we are looking for an experienced Java Software Engineer. You will further develop a solution for the cross-functional standardization of intervention and disruption management. This will support efficient information flow, reduce the impact of disruptions on rail operations, and contribute to higher system availability.

• Analysis of business processes and problem areas, and derivation of corresponding system requirements.
• Support for subject matter experts and the Product Owner in requirements analysis and technical solution design.
• Creation of data, function, and object models.
• Independent development of software modules based on functional specifications.
• Participation in the creation of integration tests for software applications and interfaces.
• Analysis and resolution of software errors.
• Development of concepts for software improvements and support of implementation into productive operation.
• Creation and updating of documentation throughout the entire software lifecycle.
• Ensuring the maintenance of software applications and interfaces.

Requirements

Advantageous

• Training as an IT specialist with a focus on application development and relevant professional experience, or a degree in Computer Science or Business Informatics.
• At least five years of professional experience.
• Very good Java skills with proven practical application.
• Very good knowledge in web development with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Very good knowledge of working with relational databases, especially Oracle.
• Very good spoken and written German language skills.
• Knowledge of React.js and Angular.
• Experience with workflow frameworks.
• Knowledge of the ArcGIS JavaScript API 4.x.
• Knowledge of OpenShift and Kubernetes.
