Job description
Seeking a Senior Network Engineer for a project in Cologne, involving the conception, implementation, and operation of SD-WAN infrastructures, primarily using HPE Aruba technologies. The role requires strong knowledge of network technologies and practical experience with Aruba devices and network management.
Responsibilities
- Conception, implementation, and operation of SD-WAN infrastructures
- Administration of Aruba 9004 edge devices and Aruba Central
- Creation and further development of network architectures and technical designs
- Definition of network standards, configurations, and security policies
- Planning and execution of rollouts and migrations in distributed network environments
- Monitoring, analysis, and optimization of network performance
- Handling of incidents, changes, and technical disruptions
- Execution of firmware updates and patch management
- Management of external service providers and collaboration with internal IT teams

- Sound knowledge of network technologies (Layer 2/3, Routing, SD-WAN, IPsec, QoS, and Segmentation)
- Practical experience with HPE Aruba SD-WAN, especially Aruba 9004 and Aruba Central
- Experience in network operations, monitoring, and troubleshooting
- Knowledge of Change, Release, and Patch Management
- Experience with network rollouts and migrations in distributed environments
- Knowledge of Jira, Confluence, and MS Office, especially Excel and Teams
- Knowledge of Aruba ClearPass is an advantage
- Very good German language skills
