Senior Planning Lawyer (secondment)

Project overview

As a senior planning lawyer, you will independently work on legal-planning processes within the municipality of Ede, focusing on urban developments.

Profile of the suited interim professional:

• Developing environmental plans and spatial substantiations for BOPA's (Building and Public Space Permits)
• Guiding the associated legal procedures and administrative decision-making, including objection and appeal cases
• Advising project teams on legal-planning feasibility for complex, municipal developments
• Coordinating and aligning environmental permits with Omgevingsdienst De Vallei (Environmental Service De Vallei) and internal disciplines
• Drafting antecedent agreements regarding planning costs and agreements with initiators
• Assessing spatial initiatives at an early stage, such as principle requests
• Presenting plans within area tables and advising administrators and council
• Following developments in environmental law and translating them into municipal practice
• Completed WO (higher professional education) degree in the spatial domain, such as planning, spatial planning, or environmental law
• Demonstrable work experience of at least 6 years in the legal-planning field at a municipality
• Experience with complex spatial developments and independently developing and guiding the associated procedures
• Current practical knowledge of the Environmental Act and experience with environmental plans and BOPA's
• Administrative sensitivity and strong communication and writing skills
