Senior Procurement Strategy Consultant (Energy Infrastructure)

Project overview

Within a transformation and infrastructure program in the energy sector, the following tasks will be performed:

Profile of the suited interim professional:

• Further develop and optimize purchasing and category strategies for infrastructure and network construction projects
• Analyze existing procurement and awarding structures and derive strategic recommendations
• Evaluate procurement, contract, and awarding models such as framework agreements, project business, and hybrid models
• Define and evaluate lot and bundling strategies for infrastructure projects
• Investigate supplier and competitive structures to develop suitable supplier strategies
• Develop measures for the long-term securing of capacities and supply
• Identify potential for cost optimization and efficiency improvement
• Conduct market and benchmark analyses of relevant procurement markets
• Advise specialist and purchasing departments on strategic procurement decisions
• Prepare decision papers and presentations for management
• Many years of experience in strategic purchasing, procurement consulting, or category management
• Professional experience in the energy, infrastructure, construction, or utility sectors
• Sound knowledge in the development of procurement, awarding, and supplier strategies
• Practical experience with complex tendering and contract models
• Solid knowledge in supplier management and in the analysis of procurement markets
• Practical experience in transformation, optimization, or consulting projects
• Analytical and conceptual strength as well as strong stakeholder management skills
• Excellent German and English language skills
