Senior Project Lead - FX, PM & ETDs e-Trading (A)

Project overview

For our client, a renowned bank based in Zurich, we are looking for an experienced Digital Trading Product & Delivery Manager. In this role, you will drive the development and delivery of digital trading capabilities for FX, Precious Metals, and Exchange-Traded Derivatives, acting as the key link between business and technology to enhance the digital client experience and successfully deliver complex transformation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Strategy and Product Development: Lead the definition of business requirements, target-state design, product roadmap development, and coordination and delivery of digital trading capabilities for FX (Foreign Exchange), Precious Metals (PM), and Exchange-Traded Derivatives (ETDs)
• Stakeholder Management: Ensure alignment and effective collaboration across Business, Client & Partner Management, Credit, Trading Channels, Pre-Trade Controls, Access Management, Regulatory, and Order Management to achieve production readiness
• Business-Technology Alignment: Act as the primary subject matter expert, bridging business requirements and technology delivery, facilitating stakeholder alignment and driving solution-related decisions
• End-to-End Implementation: Coordinate system integration, testing activities, migration planning, operating model readiness, and business adoption initiatives
• Delivery Management: Proactively identify and manage dependencies, risks, timelines, and stakeholder expectations to ensure successful and timely delivery
• Digital Client Experience: Drive the enhancement of digital trading capabilities to improve the client experience while meeting business objectives and regulatory requirements

Requirements

Soft Skills

• At least 7 years of professional experience delivering trading, execution, FX, capital markets, or platform transformation initiatives, ideally within Private Banking, Wealth Management, or Financial Services
• Strong understanding of FX, Precious Metals, ETDs, e-trading workflows, order lifecycle management, pre-trade controls, regulatory requirements, and digital channel platforms
• Proven experience managing end-to-end digital product lifecycles, including controlled pilot launches, user acceptance testing, web analytics, client feedback, adoption measurement, and large-scale rollout execution
• Demonstrated track record of delivering complex, cross-functional initiatives involving business and technology stakeholders, from requirements gathering through implementation and adoption
• Experience working in Agile delivery environments, including backlog management, prioritisation, user story definition, release planning, and stakeholder engagement
• Ability to translate business needs into clear functional requirements and pragmatic technology solutions, supported by strong analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills
• University degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline
• Relevant certifications in project delivery, business analysis, change management, Agile methodologies, or project management are an advantage
• Solid understanding of financial markets and digital platform delivery, with preferred exposure to e-banking, trading platforms, or wealth management technology ecosystems
• Fluency in English; German is an advantage
• Excellent Communication and Stakeholder Management: Ability to communicate complex topics clearly, align diverse stakeholder groups, and facilitate effective decision-making
• Leadership and Influencing Skills: Proven ability to drive cross-functional initiatives and influence decisions in a matrix organisation without direct reporting authority
