Job description
Lead large, capital-intensive infrastructure projects within a leading logistics organization, from strategy to operational handover. Focus on warehouse realization, integration, and go-live.
Project overview
About the client
Our client is a leading organization with an extensive logistics network in the Netherlands. To accommodate growth in the coming years, the organization is investing heavily in the expansion and improvement of its distribution and warehouse capacity.
The assignment
Within the logistics organization, a team works that is responsible for large-scale infrastructure projects, with budgets running into tens of millions of euros. Think of outsourced warehouses, brownfield transformations, and large parts of greenfield programs. For this team, we are looking for an experienced project manager to lead these projects from strategy to operational handover.
Your first project is the realization of a dedicated warehouse that is designed and operated by a logistics service provider. You will be responsible for the delivery, integration with the existing network, go-live, and ramp-up. Afterwards, you will be deployed on other strategic projects within the portfolio.
The complexity lies mainly in the convergence of business, technology, operations, suppliers, and organizational change. You will maintain an overview of all workstreams, make choices where interests conflict, and remain ultimately responsible for the result.
