Project overview
We are looking for a Senior Python Developer for a long-term mission with our client in the banking/finance sector in the Paris region. You will join a multidisciplinary team (business analysts, architects, developers, data analysts) that designs the tools used to manage renewable assets (wind, solar) and trade energy. Your work has a direct impact on trading strategies and asset optimization.

Profile sought
You have at least 6 years of experience in Python application development. You are proficient in PostgreSQL (schema design, performance, time series) and familiar with AWS services (RDS, S3, IAM, ECS, Docker). You are accustomed to APIs, data pipelines, streaming, and agile methods. Knowledge of energy markets (position, day-ahead/intraday, system services) is expected. FastAPI, Flask or Django, React, CI/CD, and container orchestration are a plus. Fluent English and French. You are autonomous, communicative, proactive, and have a sense of responsibility.
You can simplify complex problems and propose pragmatic solutions.

- Design and develop Python backend services for asset onboarding, contract management, and market operations.
- Develop APIs and data pipelines to integrate your applications into the information ecosystem.
- Implement integrations with messaging systems (MQTT, RabbitMQ) for real-time data ingestion.
- Model and optimize relational and time-series data in PostgreSQL.
- Utilize AWS services (RDS, S3, IAM, Lambda, ECS, Docker).
- Work with product managers and business experts to transform needs into features.
- Participate in agile rituals and bi-weekly production releases.
- Provide level 2 support for your applications, with possible on-call duties.
