Senior Sage 100 Consultant (Cloud Migration & Processes)

Project overview

A manufacturing company in the food industry (approx. 100 employees, DACH) uses Sage 100 as its ERP system and system of record for master data, goods movements, orders, delivery notes, and invoices. The on-premise installation runs on an outdated server, is slow, and does not allow for further modules. The goal is to migrate Sage 100 to a cloud environment: inventory, target state, scoping, and project plan, followed by implementation including data migration together with the existing cloud hosting provider.

Afterwards, the company needs independent Sage consulting that honestly evaluates new requirements (e.g., document management) and recommends the most sensible implementation. A custom planning layer on Sage is already under development and will be supplemented, not replaced.

Responsibilities

• Inventory of the existing Sage 100 setup: version, modules, client structure, configuration, interfaces (including scanner connection), and data.
• Target state and requirements for the cloud setup based on actual processes (purchasing, order processing, warehouse, invoices).
• Scoping, project plan, and migration concept including data migration, tests, and cutover; independent coordination of the hosting provider and Sage development until go-live.
• Independent recommendations on new modules and requirements after migration (e.g., document management), without self-interest in customizations.

Requirements

• Several years of experience as a Sage 100 consultant, including implementation or re-implementation.
• At least one Sage 100 migration (on-prem to cloud/hosting, server or version change) implemented responsibly.
• Experience with ERP processes in manufacturing companies, ideally in the food industry (batches, expiry dates).
• Fluent German
