Senior SAP ILM Consultant / Architect for SAP HCM

Project overview

For our customer, we are looking for a Senior SAP ILM Consultant / Architect for SAP HCM (m/f/d)

Our customer is creating an SAP ILM concept for the SAP HCM / HR area. This includes the analysis of existing deletion, retention, archiving, and historization processes, functional workshops with the involved teams, and the definition of governance structures. The agreed-upon concept will then be translated into actionable requirements for business and IT teams. The assignment is 100% remote for the period from 11/16/2026 to 06/30/2027.

Responsibilities

• Creation and coordination of an ILM concept for SAP HCM / HR, considering functional, organizational, and system-related requirements
• Coordination with involved sub-projects and integration of all relevant business teams and system administrators
• Ensuring a complete consideration of the service points, processes, and requirements relevant to the ILM concept
• Planning, execution, and continuation of functional workshops for the development, validation, and coordination of the ILM concept
• Recording, analysis, and evaluation of existing deletion, retention, archiving, and historization processes in the SAP HCM and HR environment
• Analysis of affected SAP HCM data sets, personnel documents, interfaces, and upstream/downstream satellite systems
• Development and coordination of functional responsibilities and governance structures (approval, execution, control, proof of performance)
• Consolidation of requirements and workshop results into a consistent, binding ILM concept
• Support in translating the ILM concept into actionable requirements and measures for business and IT teams

Requirements

• Sound practical experience with SAP Information Lifecycle Management (SAP ILM), especially in the conception and implementation of deletion, retention, and archiving processes
• Demonstrable experience with SAP ILM in the SAP HCM or HR environment
• Very good knowledge of SAP HCM data and process structures as well as their dependencies on documents, interfaces, and satellite systems
• General knowledge in SAP HCM

Nice to have

Very good German language skills, both written and spoken, are required.
