The context

DID is looking for a Senior SAP MM/PURCH Consultant for an important client in the Retail & Food sector to be included in a transformation project for procurement and supply chain processes. We are looking for a candidate with strong functional expertise in Materials Management and Purchasing processes and practical experience in integrations with OpenText VIM (Vendor Invoice Management).

Responsibilities

• Analysis, design, and implementation of SAP MM/PURCH solutions in line with business requirements
• Support for end-to-end procure-to-pay processes: purchase requisitions, orders, goods receipts, invoice verification, supplier and material master data management
• Management of SAP MM – OpenText VIM integrations for invoice processing and supplier accounting automation
• Collaboration with Finance, Supply Chain, and Business stakeholders to optimize purchasing processes
• Support for enhancements, rollouts, testing, and data migration
• Drafting of functional specifications and coordination with development teams
• Participation in workshops and solution design sessions

Work mode: hybrid, mainly remote, possible sporadic travel to the Italian client site (Milan) and/or foreign site

• 6–8 years of overall experience, with at least 5 as an SAP MM/PURCH consultant
• Solid expertise in SAP MM, Purchasing, Inventory Management, and Invoice Verification
• Proven experience with OpenText VIM integrations and invoice approval workflows
• Experience in SAP ECC and/or S/4HANA environments
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Native or fluent Italian and English at least B2+ (both mandatory)
• Experience in Retail processes and supplier management
• Knowledge of Food sector requirements: supply chain traceability, quality standards, procurement operations
• Integration with SAP FI in P2P processes
• Experience in international projects
