Senior SAP Software Engineer ABAP OO S/4HANA

Project overview

For an infrastructure project in the public sector, we are looking for an experienced Senior SAP Software Engineer to strengthen an agile development team. You will contribute to the replacement of an existing application with SAP S/4HANA and redesign processes for monitoring, inspection, and planning measures for engineering structures.

The focus is on SAP EAM processes related to monitoring orders and maintenance notifications, especially for the inspection of engineering structures and tunnels. You will map inspection results, condition assessments, deviations, and proposed measures comprehensibly in the system and make them usable for subsequent processes such as condition reporting and measure planning.

As a Senior Engineer, you will analyze technically complex requirements, develop viable solutions in ABAP OO, and ensure software quality through Clean Code, code reviews, and automated tests. You will consider interfaces to mobile applications and downstream processes and support manual tests and rollouts.

We expect several years of practical experience in ABAP OO development for S/4HANA, sound knowledge of SQL and ABAP Core Data Services (CDS), and extensive experience with SAP EAM and maintenance processes. You will work entirely with ABAP Development Tools (ADT) for Eclipse. Software quality and software craftsmanship shape your daily work. Collaboration will primarily take place on-site in an agile team with a Product Owner, subject matter experts, and other developers.
