Project overview

The project aims to replace an existing software solution for traffic control for a major client in the transport and logistics sector. We develop software products for our clients in the "Smart Application Builder" unit within several project teams. These products are further developed and operated by multiple, scaled, collaborating DevOps teams as single-page applications in a microservice architecture for cloud operation. We work with the latest technology. Keywords include Cloud, Docker, CI/CD, complete delivery and test automation, integrated vulnerability management, etc.

In every project team, we place a strong focus on UX and put the end-user at the center. DDD and TDD are not just buzzwords for us, but important tools.

• Building and evolutionary further development of the microservice architecture suitable for the business domain using Domain Driven Design methods
• Promoting and driving the implementation of the technological strategy, architectural-technical knowledge exchange, and innovation and standardization within the project
• Consulting on the implementation of the technical architecture in software development
• Implementation of technical components in applications based on the technologies used (microservice architectures, Spring, AWS, Messaging, Kotlin), including associated interfaces, modules, and corresponding databases
• Implementation and optimization of CI/CD pipelines based on Gitlab CI, Jenkins, Docker, and OpenShift (Kubernetes)
• Ensuring stable application operation with maximum automation, continuously improving the architecture, processes, and tools
• Programming / Implementation / Customizing technical components in applications based on the technologies used, adhering to the client's standards
• Software Development & Application Architecture in the Backend: Kotlin development within an Application Design framework (e.g., Ports & Adapter, IODA, etc.) (min. 5 years)
• Software Development & Application Architecture: Frontend programming & architecture knowledge, min. with React (min. 5 years)
• Practical experience with agile engineering practices (min. 5 years)
• Experience with cloud-based and containerized infrastructure in microservice architectures (min. 5 years)
• Method & Technology knowledge with DevOps (min. 5 years)
• Proven practical experience with methods and tools of strategic and tactical Domain Driven Design (2 references)
• Proven practical experience with the Docs-First approach (e.g., Docs-as-Code, Spec Driven Development, etc.) (2 references)
• Practical experience with monitoring using Prometheus (min. 5 years)
• Practical experience with Spring Boot (min. 5 years)
