BACKGROUND & MANDATE

For our end client in the Swiss banking sector we are looking for a Senior Solution Architect for the voice capabilities of the GenAI platform.

The client is expanding the voice capabilities of its GenAI platform. At the centre is the integration of the Genesys contact centre and telephony system with the GenAI platform - from data ingestion through model training to the provision of APIs and endpoints and their connection to the existing banking landscape. The work takes place in a virtual DevOps team of cloud engineers, solution architects and DevOps engineers, closely aligned with business engineering, system architecture and IT security.

The mandate covers consulting, solutioning and implementation: the role is responsible for the solution architecture of this integration and develops the technical standards and architecture blueprints that ensure databases, applications and platforms work together and meet the enterprise-wide and regulatory architecture requirements.

Important for the selection: formally the role is advertised as Senior DevOps Engineer, but in substance it is a solution architecture role with responsibility for technical standards and blueprints. The partner draws an explicit line - pure pipeline and tooling profiles do not fit here. In addition, German C2 and English C1 are mandatory language levels.

MAIN TASKS

Design the solution architecture for the integration of the Genesys telephony system with the GenAI platform.

Take responsibility for the chain from data ingestion through model training to the provision of APIs and endpoints.

Integrate the solution into the bank's existing IT systems, including on-premise legacy landscapes.

Develop technical standards and architecture blueprints for the interplay of databases, applications and platforms.

Ensure compliance with enterprise-wide and regulatory architecture requirements.

Implement use cases in the context of the voice capabilities together with the virtual DevOps team.

Align with business engineering, system architecture and IT security and incorporate business requirements into the solution architecture.

Monitor new technologies, frameworks and tools in the field of artificial intelligence and machine learning.

MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS

Architecture role (client requirement): demonstrable solution architecture experience with responsibility for technical standards and blueprints - pure pipeline and tooling profiles do not fit.

LLM and LLMOps: in-depth understanding and productive implementation experience, specifically model serving, feature stores and pipeline orchestration for a robust GenAI ecosystem.

System design: expertise in integration patterns such as microservices, event-driven architectures and APIs - in the interplay of contact centre systems, cloud and on-premise.

Cloud: solid knowledge of AWS as the main platform, where applicable complemented by Azure, as well as container orchestration with Kubernetes.

Scalability: delivery of scalable and resilient application and platform solutions on this basis.

AI integration: experience integrating AI solutions into cloud system landscapes and into on-premise legacy systems.

Seniority: senior level with five to eight years of relevant experience.

Documentation: the ability to present technical matters comprehensibly and to convey them in writing.

Stakeholder work: aligning challenging questions with different stakeholder groups and bringing them to a decision.

Languages: German C2 (near native) and English C1 (CAE) - both mandatory.

NICE TO HAVE (relevant for evaluation)

Experience with Genesys or comparable contact centre and telephony platforms.

Knowledge of Amazon RDS and MSSQL in an architecture context.

Experience with speech and audio use cases: transcription, speech synthesis or real-time processing in customer dialogue.

Familiarity with regulatory requirements for AI systems in the financial sector.

IMPORTANT

Remote policy: 100% on site at the client, 0% home office, depending on the project phase.

Extracts from the debt enforcement register and the criminal record are required (if resident in Germany, a SCHUFA report and a police clearance certificate are required).

Additional special rule on remote work: it is permitted only within Switzerland due to internal regulations and banking secrecy.

Swiss residence or a valid residence permit must be in place at the time the offer is submitted.
