About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Statistician to support a Long-Term Ecosystem Change (LTEC) programme focused on understanding how biodiversity changes over time and identifying the factors responsible.
The programme collects long-term environmental data across 37 sites in England. This evidence helps researchers understand the impact of pressures such as climate change and air pollution on ecosystems, supporting conservation advice, nature recovery and future environmental policy.
The successful candidate will provide statistical leadership, analyse complex ecological datasets and help develop a revised monitoring design for 2026/27. The aim is to improve the efficiency and accuracy of future data collection while making the best possible use of existing data.
This is an opportunity to apply advanced statistical techniques to important environmental research and contribute to evidence-based decisions on biodiversity and ecosystem protection.
