We are looking for a Senior Sustainability Policy Advisor, on an interim basis, who not only develops policy but also ensures that plans are realized. Someone who can provide strategic advice, connect different interests, and is energized by tangible results. You will work on issues that directly affect residents and make a direct contribution to a liveable, attractive, and future-proof Someren.

This is what you will do for Someren

You will be one of the substantive points of contact for sustainability within the Public Space Team and will provide direction on important sustainability issues. You will work on both strategic policy development and project realization. You will advise the executive and management on sustainability, energy transition, circularity, and climate. At the same time, you will manage projects, connect stakeholders, and ensure that ambitions are actually realized.

For each project, you will provide substantive direction, ensure administrative preparation, and manage progress and results.

About the company

You will be part of the Public Space Team. A team that works daily on the quality of the physical living environment. Think of greenery, water, sewage, roads, traffic, waste, climate adaptation, and energy transition. In this role, you will work closely with colleagues within the Sustainability cluster and ensure good coordination with other departments, the executive, and neighboring municipalities. Together, we work on challenges that are visible to residents and entrepreneurs. Collaboration is central within the team, and colleagues help each other move forward.

• Research and development of sustainable shared mobility.

• Drafting, adoption, and implementation of policy rules for large-scale battery storage
• Evaluation and further development of the Sustainability Loan.
• You have a Bachelor's or Master's work and thinking level.
• You have at least 3-5 years of experience in sustainability, energy transition, or the physical domain.
• You have extensive experience as a client, in municipal decision-making, and in complex stakeholder processes.
• You have broad demonstrable experience with administrative advice.
• You are able to translate complex issues into concrete solutions.
• You possess political-administrative sensitivity.
• You are a connector who can motivate people.
• Competitive fixed salary, depending on knowledge and experience;
