Senior System Engineer – Infrastructure & Cloud

Project overview

We are looking for an experienced Senior System Engineer for the planning, implementation, and operation of modern IT infrastructure solutions. In this role, you will contribute to the design of future-oriented technology solutions and support our customers both on-site and remotely.

Your responsibilities include creating solution concepts and technical documentation, managing complex IT projects, and providing 3rd-level support. You will work on optimizing the operation of our managed services and be available for on-call duty if required. Collaboration with internal teams such as project management and account management is an important part of your daily work.

We expect a completed IT vocational training and further education at HF, FH, or university level. At least five years of professional experience in a service-oriented IT environment with external customers is required. You should have sound knowledge in at least two of the following areas: Microsoft Server, Virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V), Microsoft Azure/Office 365, Client Engineering, or Storage/Backup. Manufacturer certifications such as MCSE or VCP are an advantage.

As a personality, you are characterized by independence, teamwork, and customer orientation. Good German and English skills as well as a valid driver's license are required.

This temporary position is advertised with 80–100% utilization and offers flexible hybrid work within Switzerland. A start is possible soon, with a project duration of 6–9 months and the possibility of extension.
