• Conception and setup of a mobile test automation platform for Android and iOS
• Definition of the test automation strategy in coordination with development, architecture, and QA
• Selection and implementation of suitable frameworks, structures, and best practices (preferred are Appium and Robot Framework)
• Development, maintenance, and expansion of automated end-to-end and regression tests
• Integration of test automation into existing CI/CD pipelines
• Later connection and use of BrowserStack for automated tests on real devices
• Setup of reporting, logging, and error analysis mechanisms, integration into existing tool landscape
• Analysis of test results and support in error identification
• Close collaboration with mobile development (external service provider), architecture, and product owners
• Consultation regarding testability, quality assurance, and technical requirements of mobile applications
• Documentation of the solution and knowledge transfer to internal teams
• Target State At the end of the project, stable, scalable mobile test automation integrated into the release process should exist, which:
• Executes regression tests for Android and iOS automatically
• Provides meaningful test reports
• Is maintainable and further developable by internal teams
• Is integrated into the CI/CD pipeline
• Runs on BrowserStack with real devices

Your Qualifications

• Profile Sought: Senior/Lead Test Automation Engineer Mobile, not a junior profile. The candidate should have already built and productively introduced mobile test automation for Android and iOS from scratch at least once. This is a central selection criterion
• Technical Requirements (Must-have)
• Several years of experience in test automation of mobile apps
• Proven experience in the complete setup of mobile test automation from "Greenfield" to productive operation
• Extensive practical experience with: Appium, Robot Framework, BrowserStack
• Experience in automating native mobile apps for: Android, iOS
• Sound understanding of mobile app architectures and technical components
• Experience with end-to-end, system, and regression tests
• Experience in integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines
• Good knowledge in at least one programming language
• Experience with Git and modern development processes
• Ability to independently analyze technical challenges and develop sustainable solutions
• ISTQB certification Technical Requirements (Nice-to-have)
• Experience with Gitlab Runner
• Experience with Mobile Device Clouds and Device Farms (BrowserStack)
• Experience with test management tools such as Jira/Xray and imbus TestBench
• Experience in regulated environments such as banks, insurance companies, or financial services
