We are looking for Server Engineer for our client in Spring, TX

Job Title: Server Engineer

Industrial IT Server Engineers design, implement, maintain, and optimize Windows-based virtual Process Control (WPC) environments following ICSRv4 standards. Additionally, Engineers are expected to work in the Spring, TX office and provide support to customers, including on-call rotations of 12-hour shifts during the day for a week at a time.

The ideal candidate will possess expertise in Nutanix and VMware virtualization, DELL server hardware, performance monitoring tools like SolarWinds, Active Directory administration, and strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with both customers and cybersecurity partners.

Responsibilities

• Manage and support Windows and Linux virtual machines, ensuring optimal performance, security, and availability.
• Utilize VMware 7.0 for environment virtualization, configuring, and maintaining virtual infrastructure, as well as greenfield Nutanix installations in air-gapped environments on DELL equipment.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for DELL server hardware.
• Perform performance monitoring, analysis, and reporting using SolarWinds and similar tools.
• Administer and maintain Active Directory services, including user/group management, GPO, DNS, and access controls.
• Collaborate with internal business units and cybersecurity partners to address technical issues and implement solutions.
• Develop and maintain documentation for server configurations, procedures, and best practices.
• Execute server project work, participate in on-call rotations (including 12-hour shifts during the day for one week at a time), and troubleshoot remote servers.

• ICSRv4 knowledge and/or experience.
• SolarWinds knowledge and/or experience.
• Familiarity with Agile principles.
• Proficiency in Windows Server Administration including AD, DNS, GPO, ServiceNow or similar ticketing systems, PowerShell or similar scripting tools, Dell Hardware, VMware, Nutanix, and ICSRv4 requirements.
