Software Development & Test Engineer (C++/Python)

Project overview

For our client, we are looking for an experienced Software Development & Test Engineer (m/f/d) with a focus on C++ and Python, who ensures the quality of software products in the field of marine communication in an agile environment. The focus of the role is on the verification of development results, the development and execution of tests, and close cooperation with development teams to ensure high quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Participation in an agile development team in the area of software development
• Ensuring and communicating the quality mindset within the development teams
• Responsibility for the verification of team results as a test expert
• Application of suitable test methods for quality assurance
• Creation, maintenance, and execution of unit tests
• Development and maintenance of automated tests
• Execution of manual tests as needed
• Support of release cycles in close cooperation with the test team

Requirements

• Completed studies in Computer Science, Electrical and Information Engineering, or comparable training
• Experience in software testing
• Knowledge of unit testing
• Very good knowledge of Python and C++
• Experience with version control (e.g., GitLab or GitHub)
• Knowledge of agile methods (e.g., Scrum)
• High teamwork skills and open communication style
• Independent and goal-oriented way of working
• Good German and English skills, spoken and written
