Responsibilities

Profile

Required medical examinations: G 37 (will be covered by NES if not already present)

• Support for users of the geoplatform
• Independent processing of error messages and coordination of cross-team processing of incidents and deployment of patches to the system environment (Incident/Problem/Change Management)
• Refinement, planning, and execution of service-stabilizing and -optimizing measures
• Monitoring of systems in the Azure cloud environment, deriving and implementing appropriate measures
• Maintenance of system documentation
• Initial assessment of new requirements
• Participation in regular meetings of the operations team
• Several years of experience in the administration and operation of Esri software
• Sound knowledge in the configuration and maintenance of ArcGIS Enterprise
• Very good knowledge of ArcGIS Server, Portal for ArcGIS, and ArcGIS Pro
• Basic knowledge of working with ArcGIS Data Store
• Experience with Windows Server operating systems
• Experience in the operation and administration of GIS system landscapes
• Knowledge of Microsoft Azure and monitoring of cloud environments
• Experience in Incident, Problem, and Change Management
• Independent analysis and resolution of technical faults
• Experience in performing patches, updates, and system optimizations
• Knowledge in IT operations and ensuring system availability
• Experience in creating and maintaining technical system documentation
• Ability to analyze and initially assess new technical requirements
• Experience in collaborating with interdisciplinary IT and operations teams
• Strong analytical and solution-oriented approach

12 project months

Stuttgart/Karlsruhe; 4 days/week Remote

Utilization: Full-time; 38h/week

Annual Gross Salary: Up to 79,100 Euros

Work Environment:

• Geoplatform DevOps Team with 9 employees specialized in GIS, Azure, or IT Security
• at the Karlsruhe and Stuttgart locations
• every 2 weeks: on-site regular meetings, alternating Stuttgart / Karlsruhe
• ArGIS Enterprise system environment (version 11.5) with over 5000 authorized users
• approx. 150 as producers (create content from different corporate divisions and share it)
• approx. 5,000 consumers (use content created by producers)
• ArcGIS Pro system environment with connection to the geoplatform
• use of ArcGIS FieldMaps (offline)
• complex infrastructure in the backend
• otherwise remote work / home office possible
• usual working hours of the team: Mon-Fri, 8 AM
• 4 PM. daily working hours between 6 AM
• 8 PM possible
• no regular weekend work
