Software Tester

Project overview

We are seeking a Software Tester - the person in this role will perform independent manual testing of software systems, validate RESTful APIs, and contribute to performance and integration testing efforts.

Responsibilities

• Design, execute and document manual test cases for functional, integration and regression testing.
• Validate REST API endpoints using tools such as Postman; verify XML/JSON payloads and response schemas.
• Perform performance and load testing using JMeter and analyse results to identify bottlenecks.
• Execute SOAP-based testing where required and inspect XML messages for correctness.
• Report, prioritise and track defects through the lifecycle; collaborate with developers and other stakeholders to ensure timely resolution.
• Contribute to test planning, test data preparation and continuous improvement of testing processes.
• Communicate test results and risks clearly in English to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Requirements

• Proven experience in manual testing of web or backend systems.
• Practical knowledge of testing REST APIs and familiarity with tools such as Postman.
• Experience with performance testing using JMeter or comparable tools.
• Experience testing SOAP services and working with XML payloads.
• Understanding of test case design, defect lifecycle and test documentation.
• English language proficiency at C1 level.
