Job description

We are looking for certified structural engineers to create structural integrity proofs for mobile communication sites, focusing on static calculations for various components and structures.

Project overview

We are looking for certified structural engineers (m/f/d) - You will create structural integrity proofs for mobile communication sites, ranging from wind load comparisons to component statics, extensions, and new constructions. Planning, document procurement, and schedule coordination are handled by our colleagues. This allows you to concentrate on the structural engineering.

Responsibilities

You will determine the wind areas (c_f·A) for the planned antenna configuration, including shielding factors, and compare them with the reference statics. You will prove the load-bearing capacity of support tubes, antenna carriers, RRH and microwave booms, brackets, and connections, exactly as specified in the execution plan. This also includes proofs of serviceability, such as torsional deflection for microwave links. You will create complete structural integrity proofs for masts, roof structures, and special structures, including foundations (bearing pressure, edge pressure, tilting, ground failure).

You will evaluate original statics and existing statics from various years, as well as the occupancy documentation from network operators. You will clarify deviations between existing conditions, planning, and old statics in a comprehensible manner. You will sign the structural integrity proofs as a certified structural designer. You will incorporate comments from clients and testing engineers until the proof is approved.

Requirements

Completed studies in Civil Engineering, with a focus on Structural Engineering or Steel Construction (Dipl.-Ing., M.Sc. or equivalent). Certification for structural integrity in Germany, i.e., an entry in the relevant list of an engineering chamber. At least 3 years of professional experience in structural design, ideally in steel construction or for mobile communication sites. Proficient in Eurocode, especially DIN EN 4.1.1991 (Wind) and DIN EN 1.3.1993 (Towers and Masts), as well as state building codes.

Proficient in structural analysis software such as Dlubal RSTAB/RFEM, SCIA Engineer, SOFiSTiK, Frilo, or similar programs. Careful and comprehensible working method. You document your assumptions in a way that third parties can review them. Punctuality - many services have short deadlines, such as one to two days for a wind load verification or two to three days for component statics. German language skills at C1 level. Good English skills.

Advantageous: Experience with the requirements of network operators and tower companies, experience with wind load comparisons, antenna support systems, and chimney sites, Russian language skills.

Please send us your CV or office profile with references, proof of your certification, your capacity (e.g., proofs per week), and your price expectation per service type (wind load verification, component statics, extension, new construction).
