Strategic Policy Advisor Spatial Development (Interim)

Project overview

Temporary replacement of the strategic policy advisor spatial development at the municipality of Gouda.

Profile of the suited interim professional:

• Monitoring the progress and direction of the executive board's implementation agenda and the strategic agenda Midden-Holland
• Collaborating with neighboring municipality Zuidplas and Region Midden-Holland on a study of the Goudse lijn
• Maintaining relationships with the Midden-Holland collaboration, the Province of Zuid-Holland, and the NOVEX areas Groene Hart and Zuidelijke Randstad
• Representing the municipality in regional and provincial projects and programs in the field of spatial development
• Preparing administrative consultations and supporting portfolio holders
• Advising the executive and management on political and policy-related issues concerning Gouda's role in its environment
• Identifying relevant developments within and outside the municipality and supporting colleagues with policy questions
• Academic working and thinking level
• Several years of experience in a similar role within a municipal organization
• Proven interest in spatial issues and strategic area development
• Knowledge of relevant legislation such as the Awb and the Omgevingswet
• Good understanding of political and administrative processes
• Knowledge of project-based work and managing spatial processes
• Strong written and oral communication skills, including writing policy advice
• Good analytical skills and a results-oriented, independent working method
